Last evening I had been to take leave of Mr. Anderson on the Hill, preparatory to our leaving for Bolt Court today, when I found your letter countermanding for another week our departure. It astounded me, but I acquiesce. Yet you must be acquainted with our situation here. We are shillingless. Am I to draw on Mr Tyler for a further supply? Will that impede any proposed arrangement with him, or how would you advise? Will you write me, or may I expect to see & confer with you, which may perhaps be more satisfactory to each, as it is so long since we met. I doubt not my friend of the difficulties you refer to, and am most sensible of your earnest wishes & endeavours in our behalf. Be assured of my full reliance on your judgment, & of my willingness to be guided by you to the end.
