I’ve been busy over the winter break with a number of updates to the Hone BioText. Readers may want to consult the new “ten-minute biography” (available in both html and pdf), the updated and redesigned Chronology (which, in addition to providing a bullet-point biography, should help with basic site navigation), and perhaps most important a new index of Hone’s correspondence. These are letters written by Hone or documents that closely concern his life and career. I’ve divided the materials into four different chronological categories that correspond to phases in Hone’s career. For the first of these categories–from 1780 up to and through the 1817 Trials–I have included links to full-text transcriptions. There will be many more of these transcriptions to come.
I would, as always, welcome comments, corrections, and suggestions either here in the blog comments or via direct email.
