William Hone to John Childs, 16 December, 1835

[1780-1818] - [1818-1824] - [1825-1832] - [1832-1842] - Hone Correspondence

1. William Hone to John Childs, 16 December, 1835.1-TEI-

1.1.

16 Dec. 1835.
Dear Childs,

1.1.1.

I saw Charles in town, and should like a line from yourself to tell me how you are. If you make it business I shall hear — well, then, do write. I think Charles has put the Archdeacon into Little Ease. Pray give my kind respects to Mrs Childs, and the Harriet. I suppose I shall never see them again to tell more ghost stories. — Remember me to Robert, and tell him now he is married and comfortable, I hope he may find time to write me, and feel inclined to disclose his thoughts. — I have just taken tea with Frank Westley, after having Charles and Co. at the Bussiness-place [sic] in Ludgate hill.

I am, Dear Childs,
Yours Most Sincerely
W Hone

[Postscript:]
I rejoice to have a good account of Sam. from his young Master.

[Addressed:]
For:
John Childs Esq.
